Chessmaster The Art of Learning PSP [Naudotas]
Chessmaster: The Art of Learning is a PSP edition of a popular video game series about chess. This title features more than just a basic game of chess. In one mode you can get quick hints on how to proceed in a given situation. If you want to play a game with a different starting setting than the classic one, you can use an in-game editor. With this, you can set chess pieces as you please and finish the game from there. On the right side of the screen, you can see Josh Waitzkin – one of the world’s best chess players, the author of the book The Art of Learning. It is him, who gives you hints as you play. On the left there is a chessboard seen from a top-down perspective with 2D pieces moving on it. In single player mode, you can challenge 24 AI-controlled players, each one more demanding than the previous. Multiplayer also offers several interesting game modes: Losing Chess, Dark Chess, Extinction Chess and Progressive Chess. The first two are especially interesting. Losing Chess has you lose all your pieces as quickly as possible, whereas in Dark Chess you cannot see the opponent’s pieces. Multiplayer uses Wi-Fi connectivity. Chessmaster: The Art of Learning lets you create your own avatar, using several readymade models. Your profile contains information such as best times in puzzles and various score tables.
