Mortal Kombat XL contains all DLCs released as a part of the original game-#039;s season pass. Apart from a large variety of various skins for the available warriors, their biggest attraction are bonus playable fighters such as the four-armed Goro, Tremor, Tanya Tri-Borg, Bo’ Rai Cho, as well as iconic movie characters like Predator, Xenomorph, Jason Voorhees, or Leatherface. Story Mortal Kombat XL tells a completely new story, part of which takes place 25 years after the events of Mortal Kombat. Therefore, we will not meet some of the previously present characters, although they were replaced with new ones, for example: Cassie Cage, the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade, or Kotal Kahn, who was modeled after Aztec gods. Gameplay The gameplay mechanics were not significantly changed in comparison with the original Mortal Kombat – the title is still a 2.5D fighting game. The players assume control of a fighter selected from the pool of available ones, which includes such iconic characters as Raiden, Scorpion, or Sub-Zero. They meet on an arena where they fight a bloody battle to the death, often ending with a very brutal finishing move - “Fatality”. Each warrior comes in several variants; each one is different in terms of tactics, fighting style, and moveset. The game offers several new arenas. In comparison with Mortal Kombat, the online features are more extensive – the players can know fight in a global struggle for dominance, where the situation constantly changes with each battle. Apart from that, we may also engage in several new forms of fights. Technology Mortal Kombat XL for PlayStation 4 includes all the add-ons offered as part of the Mortal Kombat X season pass as well as Kombat Pack 1and Kombat Pack 2. Apart from various warrior skins, the biggest attraction of the built-in DLCs are bonus playable characters. The first one, revealed prior to the release of the original game, is the four-armed Goro. The remaining fighters are a mix of warriors known from the series and iconic movie characters. We can, therefore, play as Tremor, Tanya, Tri-Borg and Bo’ Rai Cho, but also as Predator, Xenomorph (the Alienseries), Jason Voorhees (the Friday the 13th series) and Letherface (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre series).
