PlotLies of P is set in the dark city of Krat. This once beautiful metropolis reminiscent of Western European cities of the Belle Époque period (particularly Paris) is now empty of life, filled with beasts and monsters. The game-#039;s protagonist is Pinocchio, an animated mechanical puppet. He wakes up in an abandoned train station, his only clue on what to do next being a piece of paper in front of him. It says he must search for Mr. Geppetto, who-#039;s currently somewhere in the city. With no other options, Pinocchio sets out on a journey and faces Krat-#039;s dangers in search of answers.MechanicsThe most distinctive mechanic of Lies of P are the titular lies. Based on lies, the game procedurally generates tasks for Pinocchio to complete. They also affect the course of the plot, as well as the protagonist himself. The more Pinocchio lies, the more human he becomes, gradually losing the advantages of being a mechanical puppet.While exploring Krat and completing quests we encounter numerous enemies, who we primarily engage in melee combat. As befitting a soulslike, the fast-paced encounters require agility, reflexes and perceptiveness; we must learn the enemies-#039; patterns to find holes in their defenses.We grow in power as we progress through the game. Being a puppet, Pinocchio can switch out his body parts for different ones to gain new abilities. Over time we also acquire better weapons and learn how to craft some of our own using gathered resources.Technical aspectsLies of P features high-quality visuals.
